An online magazine about Korean culture, food and hallyu based in Toronto, Canada

Write for us!

Be a Guest Writer!

Do you love Korean culture? Have an interesting point of view about something Korean? Love to cook or watch Korean films? We are also looking for new writers so email us your idea.

Become a Staff Writer!

Our Staff Writers have a monthly column about an area of Korean culture they are interested in. They write a regular once-a-month article that’s published on ATK Magazine. They often start off as a guest writer but find they like writing for us so much, they will get their own by-line and become one of our Staff Writers. ATK Magazine is looking for Staff Writers in the following areas especially (but if you have an interest that’s not mentioned, please feel free to write a pitch for it):

  • Korean dramas
  • Restaurant/store reviews in the GTA (outside downtown Toronto).
  • Korean history
  • Korean literature
  • Korean fashion
  • K-pop, hip hop or indie music
  • Dating from a Korean perspective ^^

Please note: these are unpaid staff positions.

What’s the Difference?

A guest writer writes a one-time article, while our staff writers write a regular monthly column.

Want to Become a Staff Writer?

Do you love Korean culture and preferably live in Toronto/GTA (it’s not necessary as we do accept writers from elsewhere as well)? Would you like to write a monthly article for ATK Magazine? Then contact Cindy, our founder/editor, and let us know what you would like to write about. We are really interested in those who would like to write about Korean dramas; Korean events and festivals; K-pop; Korean fashion; and Korean literature. Want to write about something else in a monthly feature? Give us a shout! We’re always interested in hearing from a new voice.
