Hello Everyone! My name is Mirella, but everyone calls me Mir. Nice to meet you! I was born in Los Angeles to Mexican parents and I grew up submerged in our culture and language. It wasn’t until middle school that I really started listening to music in English and until college where I actually really grasped the English language. I’ve been exposed to a progression of different cultures throughout my life, and currently I love Korean culture. Before I discovered Korea I went through my japan phase and it spent endless hours watching anime, listening to Japanese music and reading manga. One of their most popular mangas is Hana Yori Dango and in my quest to find more media related to the manga I found the Korean version, “Boys over Flowers.” From there it was a domino effect and I started with dramas, OSTs, Kpop and I ended up finding Korean Indie through a music showcase in Los Angeles called Seoulsonic.

When I’m not out doing something related to Korea, I’m working on my Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and thinking about when I’ll see the hubby (Morrissey) again. If you happen to come to LA, let’s meet and play!
