We were getting worried that there would be no Korean musicians at this year’s Canadian Music Week (CMW) but the final round of programming announcements included The Barberettes. Yay! With less than two weeks until the start of CMW, we’re super happy to hear that The Barberettes will be coming back to Toronto. If you’ve not yet had a chance to catch them live, now’s the time! Having had the pleasure of seeing them live a few times, I know you won’t be disappointed. Tickets on sale now!
This time-traveling trio are a joy to listen to and will put a smile on your face with their retro du-wop inspired music – both their own music and some covers of classics I’m sure you’re familiar with. Plus their clothes are always amazingly beautiful! It’s always fun to see what they will be wearing (check out the video below for some lovely examples).
Not only is their music fun to listen to but they bring such energy and positive vibes to their live shows that you don’t want to miss the chance to catch them at CMW (tickets are only $12.50, how could you not go?!). With distinctive voices that harmonize so beautifully, The Barberettes are an act you shouldn’t miss.
Plus they have a new EP coming out April 13th – just in time for CMW!
