Halloween K-pop Party in Toronto

Two of my favourite things are about to collide and I’m super excited!! Okay, I’m often super excited – life’s an adventure after all – but I’m not joking, I am REALLY excited about this! Which is why I better warn you now, you will see a lot of exclamation marks in this post 🙂

What am I excited about?

Full disclosure: I’m about to promote an event I’m involved in.

Say Kimchi, my language exchange group, is hosting a Halloween K-pop party. Now if you’ve been reading my blog at all, you know I love K-pop. If Big Bang ever plays a concert in Toronto, I’ll be in heaven. But what you may not know is I also love Halloween. In fact, it’s my second favorite holiday (after Christmas). I absolutely adore dressing up and spend weeks crafting my costume, I’ve even won prizes for best costume a few times so I have a certain reputation to uphold.

But this year, Halloween will be killer! Because I’ll be celebrating it a little early – on Thursday, October 27th at Clinton’s Bar in Toronto at a funky K-pop party. There will be fabulous tunes spun by DJ Elit (K-pop, R&B, hip hop and top 40) and cool prizes for the best costumes (cutest, scariest, best k-pop, and the best of the best). Will you win?

Two of my favourite things are going to come together for a rocking night of fun!! And the best part is you can join me there!

When: Thursday, October 27th at 9:00 until close

Where: Clinton’s bar in Toronto (on Bloor Street, close to Christie Station)

How Much: $12 until October 26th and $15 at the door (contact CindyinTO at gmail dot com for tickets)

Live life to the fullest everyday - this is a the philosophy I try to live by and it's taken me on many adventures. I write about Korean culture from a non-Korean perspective as the editor/founder of ATK Magazine and I'm the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Korean Film Festival (TKFF). Previously, I ran a Korean-English language exchange group (in Toronto) for 3 years to stay connected to my three years living in Korea as an English teacher. I love music, film, food and sports and write about 3 of the 4.
