Tuesdays suck

I know that most people hate Mondays but now, the day I dislike the most is Tuesday.  Why, you ask?  Because my Tuesdays start at 8:30 am and for all of you who know me, I don’t like mornings.  And on top of the early time, the class that I have at 8:30 really hasn’t lived up to my expectations.  Don’t get me wrong, we do learn quite a bit in the class but the prof teaches just the one class and half the time he’s not there.  He’ll get us a guest speaker who will speak for an hour and then leave… our class is actually 3 1/2 hours long.  I think part of the problem is I really expected to love this class and to get a lot from it.  And I don’t.  The guest speakers have been great but there has been a lot of wasted time.  I’d just skip the class because he lectures are all online but we have to hand assignments physically to him AND attendance is a part of our grade.  I wanted more from this class, I really did!!

On another note, its spring 🙂  The weather is warming up and patio season is starting in earnest.  I also found a great blog through this website/podcasts I’m using to study Korean.  I watched a short YouTube clip on it yesterday and it made me homesick for Korea because it was shot outside Lotte World at Seokchon Lake – my favourite place to walk in Seoul 🙂

Live life to the fullest everyday - this is a the philosophy I try to live by and it's taken me on many adventures. I write about Korean culture from a non-Korean perspective as the editor/founder of ATK Magazine and I'm the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Korean Film Festival (TKFF). Previously, I ran a Korean-English language exchange group (in Toronto) for 3 years to stay connected to my three years living in Korea as an English teacher. I love music, film, food and sports and write about 3 of the 4.
